Each plate that Michelin starred Chef Steve Litke creates tells a story about Sonoma County. Its incredible diversity of agriculture and artisan producers, its rich California heritage of Italian, French and Mexican immigrants and its consistent focus on organic and sustainably farmed fruits and vegetables enable our chefs to create delicious, wholesome and intensely flavored dishes that rely entirely on what is seasonal and at its peak. In spring it's all about local, wild salmon from the Sonoma coast- half an hour away, baby lamb from the farmer up the road, pea shoots from the chef's garden and fava beans from a Healdsburg neighbor... summer brings its hoards of heirloom tomatoes and herbs from our Bartolomei ranch, down the road and fresh cheeses from the goat dairy a few minutes away. Each season has its own roster of flavors, textures and even colors.
While the environment is casual, our commitment to service and quality is not. Maitre d' Christopher Fohner invites you to come and experience the collaboration of an Italian family, passionate farmers, cheesemakers, Sonoma ranchers, and a talented group of seasoned restaurant professionals dedicated to exceeding your every expectation.
The mission of Wine Director and Master Sommelier Geoff Kruth's wine program at The Farmhouse Restaurant is twofold: to offer our guests the best of Sonoma wine country, and to complement this selection with international wines that typify the geography and culture of their origin. Our bias is towards wines of balance, finesse, character, and subtlety, which enhance the nature of our food. We encourage guests, visiting us from outside the area, to discover the world-class quality of Sonoma County wines. And for our local guests, if they are so inclined, we’re pleased to offer an extensive selection of wines from around the world, offering the opportunity to open your palate and explore the diverse and ever changing world of wine.
