Time To Turn The Oven Back On, You’ve Got To Try This One! Seriously. We have perfected the chocolate chip cookie. (Ok, that’s a little arrogant. But it’s really good) And when I say we, I mean we. Sure, Pattie did all of the hard work, but we tasted a bunch of adaptations before we all arrived at this being the new “Farmhouse Signature Cookie”. A chewy, sweet, salty and crispy chocolate chip cookie is something that our guests look forward to every day of their stay. So, here’s the recipe. Bake a batch, and post your thoughts- and pictures- on our Facebook page.
Yields Two Dozen Cookies
4 Ounces Unsalted Butter, Soft
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Large Egg
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 and 1/3 Cup All Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
3/4 Cup Milk Chocolate Chips
3/4 Cups White Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Preheat the Oven to 350. Beat the butter and sugars on medium speed until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture until smooth. Combine all dry ingredients in a seperate bowl. Add the butter mixture to the dry ingredients on low speed. Hand fold the chips into your batter.
Scoop onto the cookie sheet lined with parchment paper- we recommend using a small ice cream scoop. Place a second cookie sheet beneath the pan for more even baking.
Bake for 6 minutes and rotate the pan in the oven. Continue baking for approximately 5 to 6 more minutes. Cool on racks after cookies rest on the pan for 5 to 6 minutes.
