The Cloverdale Citrus Fair: Entertaining Sonoma for Over a Century

February 03, 2020

In 1892 the first annual Cloverdale Citrus Fair was held to celebrate the extraordinary citrus production that, at the time, was so important to northern Sonoma County. Today, the fair has expanded to near epic proportions, attracting close to 17,000 visitors (more than double the population of Cloverdale itself) to the four-day extravaganza of family-friendly fun. Hosted by the City of Cloverdale, just a half-hour drive from the Farmhouse Inn, the Cloverdale Citrus Fair will take place this year from Friday, February 14, through Monday, February 17. Guests will enjoy elaborate carnival rides, sample delicious cuisine from popular local restaurants, browse the work and wares of regional artists and artisans, and delight in the ever-impressive Citrus Fair talent show. Attend the coronation of the Citrus Queen on Friday night; return the next morning for the fair’s grand parade. Every day of the fair is filled with live performances, from acrobats to magicians to jugglers to musicians playing every genre under the sun, and much, much more.

Address: 1 Citrus Fair Drive, Cloverdale, CA 95425
