    Find Bliss Among the Redwoods

With our busy lives full of emails, texts, and meetings, it can sometimes be difficult to slow down and enjoy all of the beauty and majesty of nature. During your stay at the Farmhouse Inn, plan to spend a day hiking at the Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. The park is only about 20 minutes from the Farmhouse Inn and is open from 8 AM until one hour after official sunset. Some of the highlights of the park are the Parson Jones Tree which at more than 310 feet tall is the largest tree in the grove, the Colonel Armstrong Tree which at 1400 years old is the oldest tree in the grove, and the strangely beautiful Icicle Tree. The hiking is particularly wonderful on the discovery and pioneer nature trails. There are additional trails for hikers of all experience and skill levels. The big, beautiful redwood trees are sure to take your breath away.
